my question remains the same "where did he get this"?

divine wisdom was to be found at the time of his life.

was he initiated by someone into that wisdom? (trismegistus/gnostic wisdom)

had he been a pupil of a secret movement or person with mystic knowledge?

it's clear that his wisdom was not new for the time...
