DannyJ: here's another idea. u are no doubt familiar with the Segway computer stabilized two wheel transport platform. suppose the inventors applied their technology to a two seat, two wheel, TANDEM machine that had the appearance of an elongated but enclosed and streamlined vehicle. it would sustain itself in the vertical axis while at rest and running but would compenstate in turns like a motorcycle. it could be hybrid powered more economically and practially than the so-called hybrid vehicles coming on line now. it would have all the conveniences of its 4 wheel counterpart, albeit w/ limited space, be capable of speeds up to 150-200 mph and run on dedicated traffic ways possibly even using induction drive. once on a dedicated (and possibly elevated) "guideway" control would be 'hands off' and completely automatic. speak your destination and relax, read the paper, take a nap, eat your breakfast, etc. i would buy one of these in a heart beat. so would everyone else i've talked to. just a thot. pick.
