Right the entire market is crooked and broken accept the Market Makers, they are as honest as the day is long, they would never sell you a counterfeit share (they don't have) that they never intend to cover for 100% profit, yeah they would never do that. we'll just pretend what we all witness everyday on the l2 doesn't happen...it's a "fallacy".
