Sanddollar

You and I agree. New Orleans and all the surrounding areas are far more important. This is a time when the Fortune 500+ richest guys on earth should step up and repeat but multiply their gratious giving to the Tsunami victims. I think Bubba and Herbert Walker should now join hands and lead the drive to get these people, our brothers and sisters our fellow Americans, back up on their feet as soon as possible. Some of what I have read this morning on CNN sends chills down my spine. Talk of weeks and months and total devastation, uncounted scores of lives lost and hundreds of thousands displaced. Now is not a time for politics but a time to support FEMA and all the government and private agencies and charities. And not just a dollar or two. I mean between victims of the fires out west here, the hurricane victims in our most vulnerable underbelly, the disruption in goods and services, oil profiteering on a rampant scale. Look at some of your local gas stations who overnight raised the price of gas in the ground in their tanks by up to 40 cents in some areas. Can't wait to see the next quarter on xonmobil. Lets talk about some real perps. These profits are going to be obscene. And just wait for the trickle down and up effect to fully take place. We're moving soon into the heating oil season and prices are going to be at least double if not double and a half. The have's won't care but the sortof haves and the havenots are going to have to make some very difficult choices. Food, fuel, heat?

I think everyone should email at least 10 friends and tell them to email at least 10 different friends and so on and if that progression would just go about 6 levels deep, the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Catholic charities, United Way etc. would have the funds to make a difference and hopefully in a hurry.

Even the people over in Florida down in the same area where Andrew hit over a decade ago are still according to the news networks walking around in knee deep water, looking for where their few earthly possessions have floated away and are rotting. And in Florida it was a Category 1.

Let's try to make a difference and let's help the way we would want to be helped if it was us in their shoes.

W serious as can be
