#124620 RE: ToldYaSo #124613

Unfortunately, I am sure that there are those here that will immediately begin to pick those links apart

Unfortunately, there are people who will stage pictures to create a false impression that product is on shelves. Fortunately, there are people with critical thinking skills who can spot attempts at deception and identify them.

Note that I'm not calling these pictures and the video staged.

even though you gave them what they have been badgering about,

Here's an example of what I mean:

It strikes me as odd that the person is thorough enough to take a video of driving up to the store, getting out of the car and walking through the store to the cooler, but decides to stop the video right after picking up the product on the shelf and before bringing it to the counter to be purchased. The video is clearly intended to represent the entire event, but falls short by failing to show the purchase.

Then an anonymous receipt is shown. The receipt could be for any grocery item in the store that cost $1.99. Since the video does not show the product being taken off the shelf and brought to the register and purchased, creating the receipt, there's actually no connection whatsoever between the product sitting on the shelf and the receipt, which doesn't identify the product.

Tell me why this can't be the case:

A few cans of Koma Unwind are placed on a shelf in the back corner of a store. The person leaves, then drives back, taking a video, walking to the back of the store to see the cans sitting there. The video stops. The person buys a random grocery item for $1.99, then photographs the receipt. The cans of KU are then removed.

Note: I didn't say that's what happened, I am only saying it's possible, so despite the pictures and video in the post, it can't be viewed as incontrovertible proof of the purchase of the product.

admit that the product is actually being distributed.

Nobody is questioning that the product is being distributed. What's in question is how much and where the product is being sold. I acknowledge that Novelty Express has been carrying the products for quite a while and seems to be active in trying to get it on shelves and sold. We've seen pictures of displays of Bebevco products in the Novelty Express booth at trade shows. It's certainly possible that they successfully placed Koma Unwind in the store the poster identified and it's sitting there waiting for people to buy it. I'm not saying it isn't possible or it isn't happening. All I'm saying is that the video and pictures do not prove it was purchased at that store.
