Will Truvada, as a prophylactic, have applications in the Third World, especially Africa? Wouldn't the Gates Foundation and WHO want to get involved with this drug?

Truvada prophylaxis testing was first done using prostitutes in Africa. Outside of cost there would be problems with user compliance in third world countries.

Prophylaxis seems like a good idea when demonstrated in a controlled environment, not in the third world. User compliance will be difficult even here in the U.S.
