People that need money always need money. Randy is working hard for it because he has to. Great point though. Kim is beyond needing funding and is not trying to accomplish the same goals as Randy either. Our goal is to produce varying spider(and apparently jellyfish) qualities within the silk. We do not care as much about the many things it can be used for or in.....other than to establish who and for what specialized use or purpose one might license our cocoons.

You have one up'ed others here on the board. Kim said we are not suffering from a lack of interest and he is acting exactly like one would act if interest were not a problem. Sometimes there is no pleasing others. In this case if Kim were out there trumpeting Spider silk, these people complaining there are better candidates for CEO, would be saying he should spend more time negotiating contracts or something on the business side. Something....anything.

If you cannot be content with how well things are going here, (and I have been in many companies doing well, and with fewer advancements)then you are very difficult to please. I can point to many companies large and small that have been waiting 10 years or more to bring a drug to market. The advancements aren't so obvious as they are here and a plethora of other reasons for delays....delays that KBLB will never have. External delays are easier to understand, but all KBLB has to do is get the ship moving internally. That is very doable and being done. It just isn't as obvious today as it will be within 3 months.(could be next week for all I know) Thanks for helping in the reasoning department.

In all fairness to Dr Lewis, "get grants or perish" is every much a reality in science academia as "publish or perish" is. (You can't publish if you can get a grant for the research!) You do what you have to do. The fault is with the SYSTEM, not the people.
