For one Florida family, the healing process can finally begin after its lawsuit against the teenager who crashed into a father and mother's car has finally ended. The lawsuit sought damages for the 2008 fatal car accident in which the 17-year-old driver killed a Florida mother riding with her husband. Now, a jury in Miami-Dade County has awarded the husband and the couple's children $8.8 million. The woman's surviving family members believe that the driver was sending or receiving texts at the time of the crash. At least one outgoing text was recorded minutes before the crash. The teenage motorist allegedly sent no less than 127 texts on the day of the accident.
