It is too late. He already approved the shares in deals made months or years ago. On top of that, he has to do something to take care of the legal issues and ongoing debts, or they just come in and take the money without PH having some control.

It is kind of like a teenager being given a nice checking account and a few credit cards and then going out and having a few months of lavish spending and parties. Then two months later, he gets the bills and account statements, and finds out the $100,000 checking account is in the red, and the bills due are HIGH - OOPS! Gotta pay it somehow or file BK, and the money from the account (shares) that might have covered the bills has already been used for the lavish spending that paid those things he wanted but required COD (Cash on Delivery - the shares).
