Big user of QT for years. Run 3 of them during trade hours along with ThinkorSwim platform. Each has their uses like ToS has a built in option for CNBC as well as several internal chat rooms for listening, watching & posting. Only one I run is the Global News listen. Kind of a squawk box with a US-European slant. Just kicks in now & then with a voice giving the story when something big is ready to post like U.I,, GDP, housing, etc. Have to run two ToS or Flash crashes either CNBC or the chat box if done in just the one run.
Have just had a QT issue lately with one of the 3 under the ETrade Streamer as data feed. It often won't properly give all the up to date quotes like with TDA's Streamer & Real Time method. That's with the 3.9.8 version. Let's see how this one goes. I have used the small Big Charts file fix to get Historic Backfill to work with BC but like to get ETrade going fully.
Nice work. Very glad to see a response from TDA for QT. QT's quote display & portfolios are the best. Can trade with ToS platform but not as friendly as QT for mega portfolios. ToS is hard to rig up fast for things like News Alert at same time as setting a Price Alert. QT can do it all in one go.
