But you have to figure that there is insurance on the sending of the package as well. 13 oz would be 1 item maybe. But my guess is that there are more than one item being purcahsed based upon sales nubmers and shipping costs.

Best rate would be the Flat Rate of $4.95. Shipping costs are more than just what the USPS charges. Probably grouped together as shipping and handling as any of those infomercials charge. You get the 2nd one free, just pay additional shipping and handling they say. But do not tell you how much until you call in and learn that it's almost twice as much as the item is.

13 oz is $3.65 for a First Classs Parcel. These would be considered to thick for a large envelope. So if we charge a flat rate of $4.95, we are getting $1.30 for actual handling cost. But this is assuming that the item does not weigh more than 13 oz. Based on the actual sales numbers, I would believe that we are selling 2-3 per order, which is why we actually have some loss in shipping costs from what I can tell.
