i'm not to knowledgable how they would do it together but the only thing i would be able to think of is VERT picking up a short position on the gap up, then Vfin walking it down and picking up cheaps for MSLP.. and everyone wins..
like i said i honestly am not too versed in this just taking a shot in the dark.
