Because they approached marketing this all wrong. Instead of being flashy, i.e. Justin Bieber, Times Square billboards, Huge concerts... Market this towards Mothers, Infomercials, QVC... they missed their market trying to be something they are not, why push this on teens who would have administrative rights to the app and turn it off the first time they miss a text about a party? They got it all wrong from the get-go.
