Or it is quite possible that all you "read" into the comments our overpaid CEO, CFO, COO, President, Vice President, Secretary, Chairman, Attorney, Scientist, etc made during the cc.

I did not hear him say that he had NDAs, CAs, RFPs, MBAs, PHDs, SOOLs,etc...

Only thing he said was he had companies big and small he was talking/exploring/saling/begging etc with.... and of course, he could not comment on who, what, where, when, how, why, etc....

Amazing

No go to the trade show, but be prepared, and be creative, do your research, and plan accordingly. He clearly didnt do that. He showed he was a rookie. You want to hang with the big boys, you got to do better than that. And no, he doesnt need to buy a 2500 square foot display set up.

I have seen highschool science fair set ups way more impressive and it would cost less than 500 dollars.

The fact is he is ill prepared, he thought, since this fiber was the holy grail of fibers, he would merely have to create it and the world would flock. He is realizing that he is going to need to pound the pavement and be a sales person.

You are talking to someone that has issues with Kim's approach. It seems he thinks we should be in the textile business, rather than the fiber business supplying the textile business. If he is not saying that, then he is limiting MS far more than Kim. I wouldn't want to limit sales to fewer or one line of business, when you can and will have a diversified client list.

It is hard to believe that within 1 month everyone (ambiguous number) who signed NDAs is no longer interested.

It should be hard to believe. Are you under the impression that they just decided to do this? The folks with the NDA's and "CA's haven't gone anywhere. You make money or lose money on how well you read the tea leaves. You have to be blind to not see how big this is. I too await the first deal, but it could happen tomorrow or 6 months from now. I am wondering if Kim went here to sign someone on. That is how business gets done. People at the conference are some that have the NDA's. If you know what you want and KBLB is the only entity on the planet that can deliver, it is a no brainer to conclude that KBLB will rise to meet the demand. What this conference did, and what some are trying to make you forget or displace your focus....is that there is plenty of buzz. This is possibly or probably competing interests we are talking about. The trade show is in no way a negative. So what if there were blemishes. I can understand a desire for perfection, but the fact that Kim was a busy camper slams the door on very temporary and tiny aesthetic nothings.

Thus, instead of trying to create, or think of all the different uses for monster silk

Kim doesn't have to think about the creation or different uses. That has never been a focus. We don't care what someone wants to use it in or on. While trying to make the focus appear simpler, some are making it more complicated. It is very simple. You want silk with spider proteins? Market this! Our money is going to made on a totally new and very scalable commodity. Changing the focus now would be a detriment. I cannot tell you how many CEO's have been replaced or businesses that went down the tubes because they lost there way. Don't let those with a different outlook steer you away from core competencies. Revisit opportunities like clothing later. Produce and sell the non-woven fiber and let others market and sell whatever it is they sell. That is their core competency. Again, it can get more complicated later.
