Sounds like a lot of transportation costs.

No matter what or where the "plastic nobody wants" comes from...

The sole source has been every auto scrap yard from the border to Toronto.

I do not know where you get that position from but it is waste plastic that is being sent to Canada for shredding. they may look like gas tanks but they have been rejected by the manufacturer and or removed from old cars so cannot be sold as gas tanks - just waste plastic

pretty sure there is nothing in NAFTA about shipping plastic or even gas tanks anyway.

To date no gas tanks have been shipped across the border into Canada
The sole source has been every auto scrap yard from the border to Toronto. To my knowledge they cannot ship American tanks across the border( check Border Customs) and in future will have to be PERMITTED to cut and shred by DEC at the NF site
