Ive seen market maker signals a lot (If thats what they really are) and they seem to be right a lot of the time but I was thinking that it could also just be an average Joe trying to manipulate other investors with hope or fear. It does cause a significant reaction with unexperienced investors. Could be a small price to pay to get a couple of people from dumping and closing red for the day. I was watching L2 for a couple of days on a stock where MMs were clearly shaking out weak hands and at EOD you would see

minutes before close. One day it stopped and price soared the next day. Maybe they got their shares. I don't know how I feel about it but I do know that for ICPA we've had 2 911s and two sets of news.
