"i was told very specifically there are no OSC proceedings against JBI" It makes perfect sense that you would have been told that. An investigation in which testimony is taken from witnesses is not a proceeding. Call 'em back and ask them if there's an ongoing investigation and see what they say.
You would have been told exactly the same thing by the SEC had you asked them that question during their investigation.
