These tend to move in a "sawtooth" pattern, Rising on news, slowly falling on lack of news.
There are three major events in the life of every Dev. stage company as it transitions to becoming a profit making company.
1- announcement of first income.
2- first 10Q showing income.
3- first 10Q showing real net profit.
Each of these events normally causes a significant rise in PPS.
PPS drifts back down in between these events.
There are some exceptions.
The most common being a company that has gone so deeply into debt that initial profits do not keep up with debt service (Ex: VELA).
