Metronidazole is a generic drug that is used for mild cases of C Diff. Vancomycin is the drug that the oral version is made from. The oral version is called Vancocin, which is what Vphm sells.

Vancomycin given intravenously doesn't work on C Diff. There is a generic version of Vancomycin but again, it is not a threat to Vancocin because it is administered by shot or intravenously and isn't effective against C.Difficile.
