Under the ongoing healthcare reform policy that favors the sale of products that are listed in the Essential Drug List (EDL) in China, the national or provincial EDL listing could substantially support the market development of these products. GMOL has been recently selected as an EDL drug in both Henan province and Shandong province (with combined population of ~ 200 million) EDL provincial supplementary lists. The EDL status grants a full insurance coverage or 100% government reimbursement for patients.
