Nic....I was thinking the same thing about his leaving LNET a few years ago but didn't want to mention it as, unlike you, I have been critical about recent actions of this company and didn't want that portrayed as my thinking this is not a good thing for Tivus because it is. I was a LNET shareholder when he left. I've mentioned several times about selling my LNET to buy Tivus and today that has proved to be my worse investment move ever. But I still have high hopes!
But what has he done the past few years and what is he getting for joining Tivus? I disagree Jwex but the Marriotts were very important to Tivus for reasons totally unrelated and different than this dude. However, a signed contract replaces the impact that the Marriotts "supposedly" had.
How many hundreds of millions of shares is this guy worth because Shiva does have bills to pay? Will massive dilution follow this announcement? I hope not.
