i agree. If the market is down big long term that will certainly affect SIAF as people have less money to invest, margin calls etc etc.

But I really can't see SIAF correlating to gold, etc short term especially with low volume.

No stock can go up forever. If this drops into the 70s, back up the truck...

Technically the stock was borderline overbought since Monday.

I agree to strongly disagree with you that the overall market sentiment and accompanying selloff of 9/10 stocks played no role in today's price movement. Small caps run their own course this is true, but they are not exempt from the rest of the market.

It paused last time it ran up in the 1.00-.90 area as well.

Absolutely, I mean how can you see any correlation when SIAF was in 2 year downtrend while the markets had pretty strong bulltrend.

These small stocks are usually news-driven and the only bit of impact of broad markets on this might be when people get margin calls or see buying opportunity elsewhere and dump the winners of last days like SIAF. But as the volume was very low, it didnt really happened in mass.

We had no buying yesterday after many days + we still have that unknown dumper via BMSS market maker. I think that as long as this seller is here we wont move up, since they appeared like 4 days ago here we couldnt make a move despite heavy buying from a fund.

Next catalyst could be earnings which is pretty close.
