Is there another reason why Kim would 1) correct an incorrect post about the science the day before a CC, and 2) care about the SP right now?

Perhaps Kim Thomson saw a 35% drop in the PPS the day before a positive announcement that he expects to significantly raise the PPS and just could not stomach the fact that this was giving any short sellers a chance for tremendous profits from their (to him at least) despicable practices and doing an equally tremendous harm to his retail investors.
Perhaps he really does care about his investors!
