Buying virtual shares at the bottom is the wrong time to buy
virtual shares. It would then have you sell shares at a loss.

I'm not saying to just buy Virtual shares! Why bother? No, I was saying if you get an order to by a huge $ amount because of a big drop, a buy order that is way over your budget then you could buy a reasonable amount and make up the difference (the part you couldn't afford) with virtual shares.
Now this is your new virtual share amount with the portfolio control adjusted as though it were a full buy. I tried this and it seems to work fine. I haven't tested it enough to see if it had any shortcomings though.
