Look at the linkedin. She worked 21 years at BMG with Goldfarb. Here is what I think happened:

Goldfarb comes in to clean house at Atrinsic. He knows Kim Heavey who, by her own admission, is an expert in mergers in acquisitions.

Kim just started her own consultancy 1 year prior. Goldfarb knows he cant bring her in on a consulting contract because it would raise eyebrows. How about put her as VP of marketing... that wouldnt raise any suspicious, right?

Goldfarb says "Kim, I need you to come on Atrinsic until December. We will pay you XXXXXXX salary, do what we need you to do, 7 month contract." It looks like Goldfarb did the same thing with Sharon Siegel. They come on, do their job and conviently they all leave in December.
