The Europeans are selling it to cover margin calls. It is the only thing worth anything that they can sell easily. This is temporary.

Long term,gold should still be off to the races.In an
article by John Embry of King World News,he states that Europe
is printing money (Quantitive Easing).Eventually the gold market is going to realize this and go beserk,but in the meantime,the central planners can use market manipulation to keep the lid on gold.He mentions this being demoralizing in the short term,but in the long term,it means nothing.This is in today's article of
their daily web.Doesn't this sound familiar?EXS comes to mind.
Anyone who likes to keep up with the price of gold,you may want to read that article.It looks interesting.
