The Harena VMS (volcanogenic massive sulphide) deposit lies within the Bisha exploration license. Harena lies 10 km southwest, easy trucking distance, from the Bisha Main deposit. Nevsun views the Harena deposit as a very likely source of supplemental feed for the processing plant at Bisha for both the gold and base metal phases. The feed would provide additional cash flow as an extension to mine life without significant capital expenses.
Expect some powerful news on NSU financial results & earnings by the end of March. Nevsun plans to release its full 2011 annual financial results in connection with release of its Annual Information Form and other annual filing materials in late March.
Cliff Davis, Nevsun CEO commented, "Bisha had an excellent 2011 operating year, achieving its gold and cost per ounce production objectives. For 2012, Bisha has the team and contractors in place to successfully execute the copper phase expansion project so that copper production can start in mid 2013."
