Oily, I think BG's post was being sarcastic in response to the sarcasm in your e-mail. It is quite clear that BG does not think that e-mailing the contacts involved in this will either help us find out the truth of what is going on or help the business to proceed. He may even fear that it will do some harm, though I can't see how, if they have done their due diligence properly, which I am sure they have as it is what they do (they mainly offer consultancy type services) - I still have not been able to find any evidence that nemopartners are in the business of doing JVs and loaning money themselves. I have also not seen anything else that indicates nemopartners and NBD are synonymous. Even the latest 8k still says

Empire has finalized negotiations with a South Korean entity and received a payment of $100,000 to provide that entity with an option to enter into a $50 Million USD convertible Loan Note and Joint Venture and Management Agreement with NBD Partners Energy to pursue the GSLM drilling program.

Ie the option is for the Korean entity to enter into a JV with NBD, suggesting there are 3 parties involved in this Empire / GSLM, the "Korean entity" and NBD. However the JV is between GSLM and NBD and NBD are listed at the same address as nemopartners and Simon has a nemopartners e-mail address. I know I am splitting hairs, but with Empire you have to!

Actually I doubt Simon will get the sarcasm. It does not translate that well between native English speakers from different parts of the globe. And, whilst I would hope Simon Hyeon Lee's English is good enough to know what he is signing up to, he may well not get the sarcasm in your e-mail.
