Claude:

Yup, this isn't a sprint but a marathon. I got laughed at on SDII for my "All Gold All the Time" policy. Meanwhile, I've watched them quibble about the squiggles, ups and downs and whether they should have 10% to 50% of their PF's in precious metals. Didn't get in until Mar 01 myself. Here's one of mine that I've held since June 01.

*** Survey invitation to all *** ... if you go to the thread list, just under the header you'll see a link to 'Surveys', click that and you get a survey with something like this choice [not sure here as i can no longer see it, having responded to it already] -

1. no gold will not print 400 by summer
2. gold will print 400 but not hold it until summer
3. yes gold will print and hold 400 going into summer
4. what is 'gold'?

... there's a fifth choice but i can't recall it ..... fwiw, i voted for no 3, yes gold will be bid above 400 in five months from now ... all i can see so far is that five people took the survey, doesn't give any results ..... just goofing around here, it's a new feature Bob Z has laid on

Good to see you here Claude .... this is exactly right-on and makes a lot more sense than a lot of the conspiracy stuff we hear bandied about, imho -

'I can see a better reason why gold stocks have been lagging gold in recent months. They are simply ahead of themselves and need to catch their breath.
The November 2000 - June 2002 first leg in stocks was simply breath-taking.
'

We'll see other legs to this bull, the stocks will have some catch-up to do, even if they don't get ahead again ... possibly some magic number involved, as 300 was last year, i wonder if 400 will have that same round-number effect .... bid over 375 right now .... salut
