There is an issue only in Appleton imagination, Rambus is not manufacturing DRAM and is offering the technology to all on equal basis, no way that can be construed as anti competitive. It s not like Dell or Sun that are competing iwith products with others in the field and trying to limit competitiveness, by trying to direct a committee toward standards for which they and only they have the IP, limiting access to rest of their competitors.
Once that case gets out of the FTC into the real Justice system, it will be cooked, and maybe, few heads in the FTC will roll as well, as they did in the SEC just recently.
