ATTD Pennant approaching Golden Cross chart
... chart at bottom:
Notice the upward angle of the blue 50mda (moving day average), and the downward angle of the red 200mda lines both in straight "pennant" (as in sports pennant) angle forming lines towards each other, notice also the pace these lines are approaching each other ... thus the forming "pennant." When these two lines meet in the straight lines they are taking a "pennant" is formed.

Now whether a pennant is eventually formed or not, when the blue 50mda line "crosses" above the red 200mda line is called a "Golden Crossing."

Pennants are very positive indicators ... Golden Crosses are HUGE events. If one looks at the pace of the possible pennant forming, and the pace of the possible Golden Cross forming ... one can formulate an estimated date of the pennant happening and the Golden Cross happening.

The ideal scenario is pennant forming / pennant happens / pennant sustains ... Golden Cross happens / Golden Cross sustains. If that happens lots of $$$ can be made.
