Hydrogen Gas is extremely COMBUSTIVE and EXPLOSIVE. HELIUM IS NEITHER OF THE ABOVE.

The reason why AFPW hydrogen cant be the standard for weather balloons, is because basically, your launching H-BOMBS into the air.

All one of these babies have to do is get caught in the prop or engine of an airplane and its BAAABAABABBOOOM. Not to mention if one of these things get caught up in electric wires. We got enough to worry about from the TERRORISTS, we dont need any more explosives in the air. Do your research dude. The instability of hydrogen has been one of its biggest drawbacks to wider commercial acceptance

Corporations are scared to invest in this, because up till now they have been using helium and have never had to worry about the hazards of working with explosive gas. New safety procedures have to be adopted, and new insurance needs garnered for the increased risk to employees of the corporations who would utilize this technology.

So go ahead and think that this fix is the best thing since sliced bread, without fish like you holding when AFPW makes one of its short lived runs, there would be less on the table for the flippers who really know what this gig is truly worth(less)
