Word is that amtrak contacted edig first for the digeplayers. I doubt that edig would have turned the business over to wencor for zero or negative margins. Just my take. I think the lack of info regarding gross profit in the last communication was an oversight by edig. Lets face it, after listening to that shm, these guys arent very good at presentations and they lack a pr person to boot. As far as margins go, look at what wencor tacks onto the players themselves. Talk about greedy. I think that wencor frowns on any financial communications by edig, as a customer or potential customer could dope out what wencor is paying for these things and calculate the mark up. I know that if I was buying for an airline and I found out that wencor was paying roughly $650 bucks per player, I wouldnt want to give them $1800 a piece.
