Nice post bud - and I concur with many things you said.
I have not been able to keep up enough with the news recently, but Iran situation could indeed turn really ugly and it does fit into my conflict model unfortunately.....we also have some upcoming events with Russian elections (as well as several other countries) and I am seeing growing social unease (not unrest as of yet) in India due to high prices, as well as N. Korea uncertainty......but we keep heading north in equities......makes me unsure of much of anything!
