I had Phoneguard on my android, and when I switched to an iphone, phoneguard only sent me a warning.

There is your problem. Apple won't let this app function as it is designed. It's not the app, it's the OS.

I will admit, I used to text and drive, but its not like AA. Its not an addiction or disease.

Alcohol May not be a problem for you but I'm sure you know quite a few it is a problem for. The fact is, there are people addicted to texting, just like alcohol.

You just have to be responsible and stop texting.

Again, you are fortunate while others can't fight the temptation.

Its the same as wearing a seat belt. Do you pay anyone to make sure you wear a seat belt every month?

It took me 25 years of driving to start wearing it. My wife's truck(Ford Escape) chimes constantly if you are not wearing your seat belt. That with the new laws, now I wear it.

This app is so much more than a simple anti-texting app. It's a shame you have an Iphone. No worries, I'm sure Seri has your back. lol

It took the government passing a law to make non-usage of searbelts illegal, and a $100 fine to make people use seatbelts. There were public awareness campaigns by insurance companies and the government it didnot happen overnight.

Comparing the urge to text with the urge to wear a seatbelt is just plain dumb. Ppl text because they WANT to. And since they WANT to text, they sometimes go out of their way (can be good or bad) to make it a priority in the short term. The bad part is when they place texting above driving on their priority scale, and they believe they could accomplish both actions at the same time. That's why we have a problem.

Now, it's not natural for ppl to WANT to wear a seatbelt. But they do it anyway (which is good) because it takes 2 seconds, it's illegal not to, and once they click it, they can forget about it and continue to do other things of greater priority to them. And by doing this many many times over and over, it has become a habit. And if this action is instinctive and gets done without issue every time, why in the world would you need/want to pay to have a reminder for it?

comprende???
