It is unseemly to disparage those whose only offense is to have an outlook different from one's own. So far as what I expected Mr. Obama to do, I expected him to do most of what he has done. That is why I did not vote for him.

You must be very young or don't realize what its like to be handed the baton in the middle of the worst economic downturn in US history. Not sure what you expected Obama to do, but clearly he was the best option we had. I take it you voted for McCain/Palin? That has to be the scariest combination any party has ever tried getting elected.

it could be argued that Reagan was "handed" the baton in the middle of a worse downturn. There have certainly been much worse economic downturns in the country's history. That is clear - and also indisputable.

I'm sure if you looked, you'd find several candidates that were scarier than McCain/Palin - McClellan/Pendleton being a sterling example.

I wouldn't consider McCain a war hero, but had nothing against him other than his political affiliation. However.. Anyone willing to allow Sarah Palin near a top political position should not be allowed to vote.
