I think Americans in general have made the right decision on election day for the last 3 decades, no matter who the winner was. Sadly, that only means the best candidate is elected, but it certainly doesn't guarantee that a good president is elected. The 2000's have been times that we would've challenged the best presidents in our history.

We seem to find it easy to compare or condemn presidents, but I'm not sure if we shouldn't pay a little more attention to the periods of which they presided.
