In simple math terms, its all the same, .50 cents to $1, is 100%, but .01 to $1 is 10,000%, the percentages being gained all comes down to when you bought.

Buyers at .01 to .50 cents will be up 5000% and will realize another 5000% going to $1, but new buyers at .50 cents will realize a 100% gain at the $1 mark.
