There is nothing wrong with promoting a stock. What happen with this one can happen to any other stock in many different ways.

Example: Accusations came out about RFMK's CEO and the stock tanked 80%. The very next day the company announced that the CEO has resigned and the stock gained all it's losses back instantly.
