jt they dont cancel the notes. I have never seen a case where nir canceled the notes. they may modify them or have a settlement agreement attached to them but the teeth are in the original contracts. also and this may be the most important feature WHY nir would never cancel a note and that is because nir would continue to get free trading shares upon conversions. New notes = new waiting period to start trading the stock
