IMO this is what is missing from this announcement:

1) no discussion as to conversion efficiencies

2) the only thing that is cheap are the carbon fibers, no discussion on the cost to process in scale, not even a minimal discussion as to how they will do that and control the outcome

3) tetrapod qd's are proven to be higher in conversion efficiency's and in charge transfer

4) my take is that since they "just discovered" this they are where QMC was about 3 or 4 years ago and while much can be learned from others efforts in this field, they have a long way to go before they will be announcing mass production.
