For a small company I estimate the costs of being publicly held at somewhere around $300K per year. This is in the manufacturing industry with one plant to audit per year. Costs of compliance go up with the number of locations you have. Since NWAU has 4 locations and is looking to add more this will add significant costs. Perhaps as much as around 50K per location so perhaps a fair estimate for NWAU would be something like $450K per year. I believe the low end of Watchdog's estimate isn't too far off the mark. Don't forget that many of the people in an organization that are doing compliance stuff do other stuff not related to compliance as well.
