Oh absolutely, and as stated, the CC will not give any real information about a deal, except as to what they are "hopeful" or "expect" or other forward looking statements regarding partners.
The key point is that no pr will occur about a partner deal being done before the CC and no substantive information about a partnership (ie. no name, no specifics on deal, no timeline, no date for deal completion, etc)
If you read the words in my post I addressed that, so your point is moot.
