Lesson to be learned is your order may not get filled at the price you like ie; Your stock is trading at your target price of lets say $1.00 so you put in a market sell order, unfortunately that does not mean it will sell for 1.00 it could sell for more or less.
Limits guarantee your price but with them there is no guarantee that your order will be filled.
