$BION Patents: U.S. Patent Application No. 13/058,308 for a “Modularized System and Method for Urea Production Using BioMass” was filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on February 9, 2011. This application claimed priority to an earlier filed Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) Application having the same title. The PCT Application was filed on August 12, 2009, with the International Patent Office and assigned Application No. PCT/US2009/053547. The PCT Application, in turn, claimed priority to U.S. Provisional Patent Application Nos. 61/088,178 and 61/088,253, each filed on August 12, 2008. The August 12, 2008, filing date protects the now-pending U.S. patent application from any prior art reference that came into being after that date. When this now-pending application issues as a patent, its 20-year patent term will run from the August 12, 2009, PCT Application filing date.
Patent Cooperation Treaty Application No. PCT/US2010/45342 for a “System, Method and Apparatus for Producing Fertilizer and/or Mixed Fuels” was filed with the International Patent Office on August 12, 2010.
This application claimed priority to an earlier filed U.S. Provisional Patent Application by the same title, filed on August 12, 2009, and assigned Application No. 61/233,271. This provisional application included the subject matter of another provisional application which was filed a year earlier, on August 12, 2008 and assigned Application No. 61/088,253. “National stage” filings in the U.S. and elsewhere must be filed on or before February 12, 2012, in order to maintain a priority claim dating back to the August 12, 2008, U.S. Provisional Application.
