Got a fairly prompt reply from two different folks at Platts (the metal price research company) in response to my email request the other day that they please quote EMM prices, not just basic Mn ore prices, in their new policy of covering Mn at their site.
One person replied:
"Thank you for your email. Our editorial team wish to thank you for your feedback and will take your suggestion under further consideration. Please feel free to contact us if we can be of any further assistance."
A second person then replied:
"Many thanks for your comments regarding manganese ore and your suggestion on tracking EMM. We are always interested in hearing what prices our customers and indeed the wider market would like to see transparency and this is something we will certainly research. Perhaps when we start looking into the market dynamics for EMM we can contact you."
So if Platt does eventually include EMM prices, this will hopefully bring EMM, not just basic Mn ore, a bit more onto investors' radar screen.
