Bob:

Obviously, I agree. You want sequential gainers on earnings and revenue. But, if I take the 34 stocks that have good or adequate financials (eliminating the 19 that have poor financials), of that group that is left, only 13 would qualify as having good, very good or excellent growth in BOTH earnings and revenues.

Personally, I put a huge emphasis on charts and where the stock is on the chart - as you know. I pick the universe of stocks from fundamental criteria and then pick the buy and sell points based on the chart.

If I ALSO apply the chart screen to those 13 stocks, I'm left with only 4 stocks. Three of them with a good chart and one with a very good chart.

I'm not saying which stock went through all those filters and ended up with a very good chart. It is one of the 34. I'm not saying because I don't own it and I plan to look harder at it this weekend and very possibly buy Monday. I own one of the 3 goods.

Also, what I consider a very good chart is different than someone else. I'm looking for lows, not breakouts. Breakouts mean you missed a lot of the run already, but the next month could be very good. I'm looking for something I can tuck away at support and wait for the entire run at some future date.
