But, generally, character in is character out... hard workers still work hard, and lazy people are still lazy, college or not. Family experience seems it matters as much or more than school can in making quality people. And, where did Bernie Madoff go to school, anyway ? Same place the CEO's of our major banks did ?
The demonstration of accomplishment and persistence a basic degree provides... often doesn't carry too far beyond opening doors for initial employment. Gates couldn't tolerate school holding him back... while others didn't mind conforming and being held back that way ? So, it's not all good... to have kid's initiative be wrung out by schooling...
But, why the sudden interest in dissing the CEO, anyway... ?
