If the whole world knows about oil discovery in Belize; and by now so do people of Belize. This makes it very hard for Prime Minister and his cronies to keep it quite while they fill their pockets with their national treasure. This was damage control on the PM and his corrupt government. Treaty should’ve notified their criminal partner first so they can get their ducks in a row. Treaty made the announcement to make us (Treaty Shareholders) happy and now we must stand by Treaty as they sort things out – STOP this panic selling and be investors for god’s sake. Risk and reward, remember.

TECO found oil - bottom line!!! It may not be as significant to the Belize government's expectation. Uncle Cho was expecting the samples to be like "dripping oil" out of his palm. His conclusion is based on how Uncle Jed found oil accidentally when he was in the back of the woods hunting lol. Uncle Cho did not see dripping oil, therefore, he concluded TECO had not found oil in his backyard.

Or...Is this an EGO thing because they weren't told first before TECO put the news out?

From the 8K released on 31 Jan
"On-site personnel evaluated the samples and concluded that the characteristics are very similar to some of the great oil producing zones in Texas, specifically the Ellenburger Lime, Hope Lime, Caddo Lime, and Edwards Lime."

From the PR release today 1 Feb
"Lime must be treated to enhance oil recovery. Standard treatment for lime includes treatment of the formation with additives to enhance inter-capillary wicking, which in return promotes oil flow to the well bore"

Bingo...

Another reason to believe we have oil.... well if you use some logic...
1) Scams are usually subtle. Releasing news that is flagrantly wrong is stupidity and will get you a jail sentence. This did not happen.
2) The "regulators" in Belize are, well, let's say a bit slow on the uptake. Remember, they required that a certain cement be used on the casing that wasn't even available in Belize (duh!) and they have never been through this before as Treaty is the new guy on the block and BNE probably has carte blanch and does what they want. They probably pay the regulators to sit at the Belize equivalent of Dunkin Donuts to keep them out of their hair.

No.. ericshon3 is correct. This dog will hunt. We just have to wait for Elmer Fudd (Belize regulators) to put their shoes on.
