Timmy has had several tickets for speeding, illegal u-turns, driving left of center, and driving while suspended.
I presume, on advise from his attorney, he doesn't show up to court for the traffic violations.
The court charges him with failure to appear, and they suspend his license.
His attorney then gets the traffic charges converted over to the failure to appear charge.
This keeps the traffic violations off of his driving record
Now he is only guilty of failure to appear.
Timmy goes to the violations clerk, enters a plea of admission to failure to appear charge and pays the fine.
